From our garden

Although we will be leaving our garden soon, it has done well for us this summer. We have had raspberries, strawberries, courgettes, onions, purple leaf broccoli, herbs, french beans, peas and potatoes! Not bad. The peas were fantastic. This was the first time I have grown them and I found it very satisfying. We still have quite a few pods left on our vines and I plan to harvest them soon and pop them in the freezer.

We had to dig up our potatoes a little early as they are in bags and we won't be able to take them with us. We would have left them here along with the rest of our fruit and veg, but we wanted the bags there were in. And you know what, our harvest wasn't half bad!

I also tried another recipe from Plenty. Grilled fennel with goats cheese. It was pretty yummy...

We have sold the Kew house and have been pretty busy packing. The chickens are now with Janice and Andy and we had our last BBQ in Kew yesterday. We move out a week from today! To be honest, I am a bit sad to say goodbye to Kew, but I am excited for our next step and see what life has coming our way.
