Rugby: England vs France

I watched my first ever Rugby match yesterday, which happened to be the semi-finals for the Rugby World Cup. It was England against France and England won! People were very excited. England has not been playing well in any major sport so everyone was delighted that FINALLY they were winning again. People were also excited because the English HATE the French, and vice versa. Fans took great delight in beating them. It was fun. I had no idea what was going on at first. They seem to just throw the ball and then get in a big man pile and then throw it again and then get in a big man pile again. And occasionally kick it. But once the rules were explained to me it made more sense. These rugby players were huge! And I have to say, watching a bunch of good looking, fit men run around and act tough was not the worst thing I have ever seen. Anyway, the atmosphere in London was jolly last night. England also beat Estonia in football yesterday so it was a good day for the English!

Hey amoonpie, what happened the next week when the UK lost to S. Africa, Lewis Hamilton was cheated out of the first rookie F1 title, and Saudi Arabia is now dissing yo' nation??? Well, the most exciting sporting event ever was the semi-final for the European cup I watched at an English pub with Gavin of all people. Go UK!
