Fall down go boom

Walking home yesterday I almost fell flat on my face three times. I think it is due to the extra special shoes I had on. Just sneakers but they have kind of thick soles and I seem to be too lazy to pick up my feet high enough so I don't trip over them.

I turn in my first application today. It was suppose to be yesterday but I forgot to bring my transcripts to work with me so I had to postpone it. Two more will go out tomorrow and then I just have to take my GRE for the rest of them. I am hoping I will just get accepted to a London school and be done with it.

I also FINALLY finished my arm warmers. They are very cute. I wore them last night and they provided the perfect layer. I am still working on my sweater but I am having a problem with the ribbing on the left side and not sure what to do to fix it. I am finding it very annoying. Luckily it knits up very fast and it is not a big deal to rip out. Still though, it is annoying.

(no spelling errors-whoo hoo!)

La Med is Bad For My Hair

The only time I have ever found a grey hair is when someone else found it for me at La Med. We were having a perfectly charming conversation when all of the sudden my co-worker squeals and tells me she has found a grey hair. I also squeal and tell her to pull it out. The same exact thing happened last night except they found two! Why? Why why why???? (they were in a different place so I don't want to hear any of that crap about two growing when you pull out one) The way I look at it I am being cheated. Lets say I live to 80. Why do I have to start getting grey hairs NOW when I have a good 50 years to live? I have decided that if I find more I am dying my hair. I'm too young to be going grey.

But then walking home I found ten dollars and this made me feel better.

Halloween

I don't know if you have ever experienced Halloween in the Castro, but lets just say, working at a restaurant in the Castro during Halloween is not fun. It is more like torture. I covered for someone who has children and wanted to take them trick or treating. I didn't really mind as I thought it would be fun and I didn't have plans anyway. Boy was I wrong. People can be real assholes. I was lucky because I wore a mask for a large part of the night and it was wonderful to be able to make faces and no one could tell what I was doing. I just hope the glint of hostility did not show through in my eyes. After work I went to grab what was a much deserved drink and I really could not believe how many people were out. And on a Monday. It is kind of weird to walk down the street and everyone you pass is in a costume. I didn't see very many good ones out this year. By far the threesome who came into eat dressed as Muni passes won hands down. Other than that, people looked lame. I admire my co-workers who just didn't dress up at all. They saw no need to pretend. Good job ladies!
