Fabric Softner

Just a little rant before I go. Why oh why cannot the gym use a little fabric softner when laundering the towels they provide to their clients? I cannot tell you how unpleasent it is to wipe the sweat off your face with this coarse, itchy, yucky white towel. It is so abrasive it probably takes off a layer of skin as you seek relief from the yucky sweat streaming down your face. Just a little softner would go a long long way. I am going to write them a letter. My mom would be so proud!

So long, farewell...

I haven't posted in a while mostly because I don't have any pictures of fun projects I have completed and I feel a blog is so much more entertaining when you have a picture to accompany it. But as it doesn't look like I will be finishing any projects any time soon I thought I would update so months don't go by without a word. I have been posting on my ALC website as that is very specific and all I talk about is training for the ride. And let me tell ya, I am knee deep in training. I am actually enjoying it and I am looking forward to when I only work at JPEF part time and have more control over when I work out instead of working out whenever I have a chance. I leave for Ireland on Thursday and I can't wait! Stinky actually was just here for a quick visit and man, is he pale! You don't really think about it but he literally never sees the sun. Can you imagine??? At least we see the sun sometimes here. It was still great to see him and I am looking forward to visiting the place he calls home. Other than that just work work work. It will be great to go on vacation where no exercise is required, however I have been thinking that I can't really get away with doing nothing if I want to be ready for the ride AND the tri I plan to do in San Diego. I need to be running but the weather has been such crap that anytime it is sunny I feel I must be on my bike. And I am not what you would call a fan of running on a treadmill. Boring. Anyway, my next post will be filled with all sorts of pretty pictures from Ireland and I can't wait to tell you all about it! I can't wait to go I can't wait to go i can't wait to go I can't wait...

I swear I just saw a car from "Pimp My Ride"

And boy was it ugly. In case you don't know, pimp my ride is a show on MTV where they take people's (mostly men) beat up ugly cars and try to make them super cool. What usually happens next is the car is still ugly and not cool but has a bunch of extras (like a playstation) that make it a hazard to drive. Today one such car drove by my house. It was green, old school cadillac and had white upholstory ( no idea how to spell and spell check seems to be broken) with green trim. You could tell the guy had some stereo system with the speakers in the trunk because you could hear the hood of the trunk rattle as he played what I am sure he thought was very cool music. Then there was the guy himself who proceeded to roll down the windows and call out my name "Baby" to get my attention. Perhaps he thought I would be impressed by his ghetto fabulous vehicle but it still looked like a piece of junk to me.

Lose My Breathe

Now I am not big into Destiny's Child but they have this song called "Lose My Breathe" and let me tell you, it is the only thing sometimes that keeps me running. Every time I go for a run as soon as I get to the hill portion, I put this song on and all is okay with the world. I think it is the heavy breathing they do in it, helps regulate my own.
